North!

North! Or Be Eaten is even better...

The following is from my review of North! Or Be Eaten posted on my personal blog:

This second book is a treat, even better than the first, but I highly recommend reading them in order. You'll better understand why and from what the Igibys are running, and you'll further be prepared to expect the random bits of humor in the story, the personalities of the main characters, and the footnotes on various pages in the book. Speaking of humor... this book is spot on! I love Andrew's wit and feel he's really improved since the last book at incorporating it more neatly into the story. I laughed out loud several times, especially when I read about Podo Helmer "quivering in a boat like a belcher's belly" and Janner Igiby being disturbed by the superfluous punctuation of the "FORK! FACTORY!" as he was about to be imprisoned in it.

Got our copy of North! Or Be Eaten

My wife and I went to Cincinnati to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed the zoo and the bed and breakfast we stayed in, The 1861 Inn. We recommend them both!

On our way home, we mused that perhaps our copy of North! Or Be Eaten would be waiting on us when we got there. When I pulled up, I could see that the mailbox was stuffed even though we were only gone two days. Stuffed inside a white mailing envelope marked "Media Mail" was our long awaited copy of North!

We were semi-surprised / very excited... so excited, in fact, that Christina read the whole book that evening while I worked (or at least tried to) in the recliner nearby. I asked her not to spoil it for me, and we won't spoil it for you either. Expect a couple of reviews from us in a couple of weeks as part of the book's "blog tour."
